Box-type Buildings

A type of prefabricated building developed based on panel structures. These buildings have a high degree of factory prefabrication and can be installed quickly on site. Generally, not only is the structural part of the box completed in the factory, but also the interior decoration and equipment are installed, even furniture, carpets, etc., can be fully equipped. After hoisting the boxes and connecting the pipelines, the building is ready for use. Box-type building assembly forms include:

① Full-box type: The building is completely composed of stacked load-bearing boxes.

② Panel-box type: Small spaces such as kitchens, bathrooms, or staircases are made into load-bearing boxes, which are then assembled with wall panels and floor slabs to form the building.

③ Core-box type: A load-bearing bathroom box is used as the core structure, with floor slabs, wall panels, or frameworks assembled around it to form the building.

④ Frame-box type: Many residential units or single-room boxes made of lightweight materials are supported on a load-bearing frame to form the building. There are also lightweight bathroom boxes with equipment and piping integrated, which are placed inside buildings of other structural forms. Box-type buildings have a high degree of industrialization, but require significant investment, are inconvenient to transport, and need heavy lifting equipment, which limits their development.
